Property investment is "excellent" in the long-term

Estate agents are likely to already be aware that the long-term
performance of property is "excellent" when compared to other asset
classes, as one expert has asserted.
John Heron, managing director at residential property specialist
Paragon Mortgages, said that many landlords have recently
demonstrated that they are willing to wait for price fluctuations
to calm down by refusing to sell off houses.
His comments follow the publication of the firm's latest quarterly
poll, which revealed that the average landlord predicts the value
of their portfolio will rise by 0.8 per cent over the next 12
months.
"It is an encouraging sign that they expect the value of their
portfolios to increase over the coming months. Interestingly,
landlords have used weaker prices to add to their portfolios,"
stated Mr Heron.
This news comes after the Council of Mortgage Lenders recently
commented that House purchase activity is looking much more
positive than it was at the start of this year.
