Houses for sale in Scotland 'have increased'

Homeowners in Scotland will be pleased to hear that the country is
experiencing a positive market with property values rising, it has
been said.
The Herald newspaper in the country reported that Registers of
Scotland figures revealed a first-quarter rise in the price of
houses for sale in Scotland valued between £20,000 and £1
million in the past 12 months.
According to the organisation, the three-month period saw a 17 per
cent increase when compared to the first three months of
2009.
"Rather than the double dip in house prices some have foretold,
[the statistics] suggest a fundamental shortage of supply will mean
prices will continue to edge upwards," the newspaper wrote.
The Registers of Scotland recently announced that they would begin
a weekly release of information about house prices in the country,
offering a look at changes over the previous four weeks.
